MIND THE GAP

Mind the Gap is an experimental photography project, conceived by Dave Nizzi (Italy) and France Kaucz (Brazil) and it will involve designing dark rooms and drone systems in order to capture images from afar, with the aid of GoPro Cameras.

CUBETUBE

The Cube Tube project is made almost entirely of cardboard tubes of different dimensions, treated with protective solutions against moisture and fire.

PUBLIC PARKING

Parcare Publica (Public Parking) is a workshop inspired by the idea of lack of space availability of flat apartments, where the consequences of the architecture programs resulted from the communist regime have dictated lifes full of compromises in many urban communities.

THE LITTLE BUCHAREST

The Little Bucharest is a project designed by two young Lebanese architects, Anthony Zogheib and Bassem Abi Saad. This project involves the design and construction of an experimental pavilion, adaptable to the needs of its users.

Ally Brook (England) and Nicoletta Christidi (Greece) conceived a sitting structure, dedicated to the outdoor lapidary of the Museum of Geology.

WINKLE

Winkle is a project that proposes reviving the campus pergolas area, with the aid of a rope swings installation. The aim is to create an area of the discussion and outdoor seating for students.

EARS OF NATURE

Anca Cretu & Lucian Stefan propose a seating and interaction area that facilitates communication with nature in a unique site in the Herastrau Park area.

A BOX OF FUTURE VISIONS

Vision, one of the most complex projects of MEDS workshop, involves constructing a simple structure/pavilion/ walk-in cube 2.5×2.5×2.5m that will serve as exhibition space.

SUMMER GARDEN

The garden with spices is an urban furniture project, pavilion type which fits in a 3x3m square. Because of the fact that it is an eco-friendly project, it is based almost only on natural matter – wood, plants and flower soil.

PONTUNE / WATERLILLY

One of the Romanian projects, Waterlilly, coordinated by Iulia Baceanu, aims to revitalize one of the banks of Herastrau Lake by making light structures with features inspired by the waterlily plant’s natural buoyancy.

Buciumrest is a workshop inspired by a Romanian musical instrument. The two tutors, Dziyana Taukin (Belarus) and Kieran Heather (Scotland), will lead the team of participants to construct acoustic sound structures in the shape of two curved wooden walled funnels.
